Nowadays, many people have the wrong attitude towards people with disabilities. They think disabled people are stupid and cannot achieve success. In my opinion, the reason why people have such a wrong idea dates from the ancient China. In the ancient times, people who can achieve success were always strong and powerful. However, as a matter of fact, history is full of examples of successful people with disabilities.
For example, Beethoven, who lost his hearing, was one of the greatest musicians in the 19th century. He expressed the spirit of his time in his music. His music was very active, passionate and vigorous. Some of his works praised heroism, some praised the love for nature and some the peace among people. These were all his outstanding success. Also, there are many other disabled people who made great success. I think the reason is in the saying that “Where there is a will, there is a way.”
From all we have discussed we now can come to the conclusion that health is not necessarily a sign of success. It all depends on the nature of success itself and on the strong will which people have.
