            1.both在句中的位置
            1)和謂語動詞連用時,both應放在連系動詞be,助動詞be,will,shall,情態動詞must,can
            等的后面;行為動詞的前面。如:
            My parents are both doctors. 我的父母都是醫生.
            The two brothers both work very hard. 這兩兄弟學習都很努力.
            2)both 可直接修飾名詞作定語(如:both students). 但如果名詞前有其他限定詞,如
            the,these,my,two等,則應放在這些詞前面,不能放在其后,也可以用both of 加上這些詞.
            如:我們可以說both (of) the books, both (of) his hands等.
            Both of my parents work in a hospital. 我父母都在醫院工作.
            3)both和代詞連用時,應說they both (作主語)both of them (作主語或賓語),them both (做
            賓語)等形式.
            We must thank both of you. = We must thank you both.
            我們應該感謝你們倆.
            2.What about/How about…?
            1)用于詢問對方或第三者與情景有關的各種情況.如:
            I\'m going to the cinema this evening. What about you?
            今晚我打算去看電影,你呢?
            2)用于向對方提出一個建議,或征求對方的意見,后接名詞或動詞-ing形式.如:
            What about a cup of tea? 來杯茶好嗎?
            What about going for a walk after supper? 晚飯后出去散散步好嗎?
            注:用于以上兩種意義時,What about…=How about…
            3.Oh,that\'s the bell. Everyone is going into class.
            That\'s the bell. =There goes the bell. 鈴響了.
            That\'s the bell (for break). Let\'s go out for a walk.
            (下課)鈴響了,我們出去走走吧.
            go into/to class表示 “進課堂”,class前不能帶冠詞the,這是因為class指的是有教師和學
            生共同參與的教與學的課堂,強調的是學習氛圍.再如:
            in class 在課上
            before class 課前
            after class 課后
            類似的還有:
            go to school 去上學 go to hospital 去醫院看病
            be in school 在上學(還沒工作) go to town 進城
            be at school 在學校(沒放學) be in town 在城里
            go to bed 去睡覺 go to prison 去坐牢
            be in bed 臥病在床 be in prison 在坐牢
            be in hospital 在住院 be back from work 下班
            go to work 上班 be at work 在工作
            上述這些詞組中名詞前都不帶定冠詞the,強調其性質以及該性質與有關的人的關系.
            但如果不具有這種關系,該名詞前就應帶the或其他限定詞.如:
            His father went to the (his)school to see him yesterday.
            他父親昨天去學校看望了他.
            His wife goes to the prison to see him once a month.
            他妻子每月去監獄看望他一次.
            4.We\'d better go now. 我們還是現在走吧.
            had better “還是……的好”,主語應是代詞, 后面接動詞原形.如:
            You\'d better go and ask the teacher. 你最好去問問老師.
            I\'d better start right now. 我最好馬上動身.
            had better do 的否定形式是had better not do,注意not的位置.
            He\'d better not go there alone. 他最好不要一個人走.
            You\'d better not be late again. 你最好不要再遲到.
            在口語中,有時侯可省去主語和had,這時被建議的可能是對方(你或你們),也可能是包
            括說話人在內的一群人(我們).如:
            Better come tomorrow. =You\'d better come tomorrow.
            最好明天來.
            Better not tell him about it. =You\'d/We\'d better not tell him about it.
            這件事最好不要告訴他.
            5.節日與祝愿
            表示節日的專有名詞前不帶冠詞; 表示人的名詞應用復數,并用所有格的形式表示這
            些人的節日.如:
            Teachers\' Day Children\'s Day Women\'s Day
            Army Day (建軍節) National Day (國慶節) New Year\'s Day (元旦)
            向某人表示節日最良好的祝愿可用下列表達方式:
            1)Happy New Year (to you )! (祝您)新年快樂!
            2)Best wishes to you for Teachers\' Day! 向您致以教師節最良好的祝愿!
            Best wishes to you ! 向您致以最良好的祝愿!
            3)We wish you good luck in the coming English exam.
            祝您在即將到來的英語考試中走運.
            4)I hope (that) you (will) enjoy your visit here.
            我希望你在這兒訪問愉快.
            5)We hope you have a happy year in our class.
            我們希望你在我們班上愉快地度過一年.
            6.find 和find out
            find “找到”, “認為”, “覺得”,如:
            I looked for my watch this morning but didn\'t find it.
            今天上午我找手表但沒找到.
            I find (=think,feel) the story very interesting.
            我覺得這個故事很有趣.
            find out著重表示通過思考,分析,理解,詢問,”弄清楚”, “查明”一件事情,后面可接名詞
            或賓語從句.
            Please find out who broke the window. 請查明誰把窗子打破的.
            I\'ll go and find (out) when they are coming. 我去查一下他們什么時候來.
            7.關于people 的幾個問題
            作 “人” 解時,只能看作可數名詞的復數形式,如:
            one or two people 一兩個人
            many people 許多人
            There are four people in my family. 我家有四個人.
            People from other countries enjoy their visit in Beijing.
            來自其他國家的人喜歡在北京游覽.
            1)“家人”
            Please come and meet my people. 請來見見我的家人.
            2)作 “人民”解時,前面總有定冠詞the,表示全體.
            We work and study for the people. 我們為人民而工作學習.
            The Chinese people are working hard. 中國人民正在努力奮斗.
            3)作 “民族”解時,是可數名詞,如:
            a (one) people 一個民族
            a country of many peoples 一個多民族的國家
            The Chinese people are /is a hard-working people.
            中國人民/中華民族是一個勤勞的民族.
            8.Excuse me 和 I\'m sorry.
              向某人請教或提出詢問請求時,說Excuse me.由于某種失誤或消極情況而向對方表示
              歉意時常說I\'m sorry.
            Excuse me,May I have your name,please? 對不起,請你告訴我你的名字,好嗎?
            Excuse me, Would you please wait a moment? 對不起,請你稍等一下好嗎?
            I\'m sorry to have kept you waiting. 對不起,讓你久等了.
            I\'m sorry to trouble you. 對不起,麻煩你了.
            9.Why don\'t you call me Bob? =Why not call me Bob?
              “為什么不叫我Bob呢?” 這是提建議的說法.類似的還有以下幾種:

              Would you like to go for a walk?

            10.Let\'s go and ask the teacher. 我們去問老師吧.
              英語中習慣把go 或come后面的不定式符號to改為and ,以連接兩個并列連詞,而意思
              不變.如:
