Why do I think its important for college students to save money?
Saving money allows college students to reduce family economic burden. Unlike nine-year compulsory education and senior high school education, people must pay higher fees for college education. With the peoples living standards and national economic development, there are still lots of people can’t afford such high tuition. Apart from paying for the high tuition, college students’ life expense is also not a s small cost, which aggravates their family burden. So we, college students, should save money not only for ourselves but our family. For example, they may be able to pay for an exam with their savings.
Saving money, for college students, is to prepare for getting further education or further career. Graduating from college, the problem all college students face is either to get further education or to go job-hunting. There is no doubt that without a certain amount of saving, it is hard to for them to achieve their goals. It is reported that it costs a normal college student around 10,000 RMB to finish his college, let alone a graduate student. In addition, saving money is to prepare for accident or emergency. Likewise, we, college students, need to save money because we dont always know what the future holds. Anyone can not accurately predict the future and know exactly how much money he will need and when he needs it, so it is of importance for us college students to save money. Emergencies happen at every moment of our daily life. Maybe someday you or your family encounters an unexpected accident. If you are prepared and have an emergency savings fund, then, at some extent, this sum of saving can see you through the hard time. On the contrary, something bad will happen.
Spending is quiet easy while saving is rather different. So most college students would prefer to enjoy their money instead of waiting for the things that they want. However, saving money overweighs spending. If we learn to and stick to save our money, we college students can reduce our family burden ,prepare for accident or emergency and get more advantages in the future.

“Save it for rainy day.” That’s my motto. When I have a choice between spending my money or putting it in my savings account at the bank, I always put it in the bank.I will have a lot of expenses in the future like my education, travel, and unforeseen emergencies. I need to have money set aside for these expenses.
Education is expensive. I can’t depend on my parents to pay all my bills. I have tuition, room and board, books, and incidental expenses to pay for. I’ll try to get a scholarship to cover some of these costs, but I know I will be responsible for a lot of the expenses. If I spend my money now, I won’t be able to pay for my education. I need to save money for my education.
Travel is also very expensive. I don’t mean vacation travel. I mean travel to get to and from school. Transpacific airfare costs a lot even special reduced fares. I first have to get to school and then, of course, I want to return to my family for important festivals and occasions. Going back and forth will be costly, but worth it. I need to save money for these trips.
Emergencies could arrive at any moment. I might have an unexpected illness while I am at school. There might be costs that won’t covered by the school insurance. One of my family members may need help, I will have to send them money. You can’t predict emergencies like this, but you can be prepared. I need to save money for these emergencies.
When you are not rich, you cannot spend your money carelessly. You must plan ahead. I know in my life, I will have expenses for my schooling and for travelling to and from my home. I know that I will also have unexpected expenses related to unforeseen emergencies. I must be prepared. I need to save money for these events.
